Pedestrian Killed in Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. — A fatal accident occurred Wednesday evening around 7:30 PM in Calhoun County on Hwy 32 near CR 233.

Gary D. Gann, 25, of Bruce was walking east on MS Hwy. 32 when he was struck by a eastbound 2001 Jeep Laredo driven by a 17-year-ld male from Bruce.

Gann was pronounced dead at the scene by the Calhoun County Coroner and the driver of the Jeep was transported to NMMC Calhoun where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by MHP.
