Pit Bull Attack Leaves One Man Dead; One Arrested

BENTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Saturday monring pit bull attack leaves one man dead and one man arrested.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Department, David Glass was attacked by three pit bulls at the intersection of Sexton Road and Highway 7 in Lamar around 1 a.m. Glass was not found until 5 a.m., but was able to give details about the incident.

Glass died Sunday afternoon due to his injuries.

Eric Hodges is the owner of the three pit bulls that were outside and unrestrained.

According to Investigator David Murphy, an order was issued for the dogs to be euthanized, and Hodges was arrested and charged with manslaughter by culpable negligence.
