Pittsboro Circuit Clerk’s Office Now Issuing Voter ID Cards

PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI) – The circuit clerk’s office in Pittsboro is now issuing Mississippi Voter ID cards for those that qualify.

To apply for a Mississippi Voter ID card, you must be a registered voter and not have any other form of photo ID.

The cards do not cost the public a fee. The ID cards will not be necessary for those who vote absentee via mail in ballots, but are required for those voting absentee in the circuit clerk’s office.

Voters will soon be required to show a valid photo ID at the polls to be eligible to cast their ballots. This will go into effect for the June 3 U.S. senate and house primaries.

For more information concerning this matter, call the Pittsboro circuit clerk’s office at 662-412-3101.
