Video: Police: Columbus Man Shot in Apparent Robbery

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus police are looking for the person who shot a Columbus man before robbing him early Sunday morning.

Investigators say it happened around 2:30 a.m. at a home along 4th Avenue South.

They say a 31-year-old man was shot in the head in his own doorway, before the suspect took things from inside the victim’s home.

The victim was taken to a Columbus hospital, and later flown to Jackson.

Investigators say he is currently in stable condition.

The other person at home with the victim was not injured.

Police still don’t know what was taken, or if there was more than one robber.

Right now they don’t have any suspects.
