NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — A New Albany man is on the run, after police say he was involved in a Sunday morning shooting.

Chief Chris Robertson tells WCBI it happened at a home on Hobson Street around 4 a.m., Sunday.

Robertson says they believe 22-year-old Quentin Gilbert shot a man in the leg, after they got into a fight.

The victim was taken to local hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Police say they’re still looking for Quentin, who fled with his mother, Renee Gilbert, and girlfriend, Gabrielle Pate, after the shooting.

Investigators say they were both home at that time.

Police are also looking for Pate’s three young children.

Robertson says they took off in a 2002 gray Ford SUV with the Mississippi license plate UNP810.

Anyone who knows where they are is asked to contact the New Albany police department.
