Prayer Vigil Held To Remember Connecticut Shooting Vicitms

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Prayers were lifted up at a Tupelo church on behalf of those affected by the tragic events in Connecticut.

Friday’s (12/14) candlelight service was held at Temple of Compassion and Deliverance.

When Bishop Clarence Parks heard about the shooting, he decided to set aside a special time to remember those impacted by the shooting.

“Our response in something like this is to comfort those that can be comforted, pray and keep looking to the Lord for answers and also comfort too, because we live in an evil world and because we live in an evil world, evil things happen and people do things that are not godly,” said Parks.

Bishop Parks encourages Northeast Mississippians to continue to pray for those families who lost loved ones, first responders and others from Newtown, Connecticut.
