Update: Prentiss County Logger Dies In Collision With Fire Truck

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WCBI) — A Prentiss County truck driver is killed after his log truck collides with a fire truck Tuesday morning in Hardin County, Tennessee.

Christopher Durham, 30, of Booneville was driving a log truck on Holland Creek Road in Savannah, Tennessee when he hit the tanker truck, which was taking water to a house fire.

The collision also killed the firefighter, Gus Losleben, 69.

A preliminary report issued by the Tennessee Highway Patrol states Durham was not wearing a seat belt.

 

He leaves behind a wife and two children.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
