Generally quiet weather is expected around here for the next few days. Highs will be in the 80s while overnight lows should be mainly in the upper 50s. A weakening cold front will pass through Saturday evening but I suspect any rain associated with it will dissipate before getting here. The pattern for the middle to end of next week may be more active but we’ll just wait and see how it all comes together. Here is the detailed First Alert Forecast:
Tonight: Skies will be mostly clear during the evening but areas of dense fog and low clouds may redevelop late. Visibilities may be 1/4 mile or less so be advised. Lows should be in the mid to upper 50s with calm wind.
Friday: Any fog or clouds that do develop in the morning should quickly thin out by noon. Mostly sunny skies are expected during the afternoon hours and highs will be in the low 80s. Temperatures will fall into the 60s for high school football so light jackets may be required.
Saturday: Highs will remain in the 80s. Clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon as a weak front approaches; however, any rain associated with the front will dissipate before getting here. Therefore, things should be dry for the evening college football games in Starkville and Oxford. Temperatures will fall into the 60s for those games as well.
Sunday: Plan on a mix of sun and clouds along with highs in the low 80s.
