As Tropical Storm Isaac creeps to the northwest, rain will get closer to our area. As of writing this Thursday morning, there are already some showers in the WCBI viewing area, mainly south of Highway 82.
That area, as well as those close to I-55, will have a higher chance for rain. Check out the radar tab at wcbi.com/weather for the latest on where the rain is falling.
A brief, spin-up tornado looks possible, and the aforementioned area with a higher rain chance also has the highest chance to see one of those tornadoes.
Highs will top out in the lower to middle 80s today under mostly cloudy skies. Everyone will have a breezy day: southeast winds up to 25 mph.
