Skies will stay mostly cloudy through Monday. After morning lows fell to the upper 20s, highs will rise close to 50. Some showers will slide in from the west later this evening, but it doesn’t look like everyone will see rain at the stroke of midnight. Chances certainly will be better the farther west that you live.
Rain will move to the east through the night, so New Year’s plans toward the MS/AL line and into Alabama have a better chance of missing the rain. However, rain will be at most all of our doorsteps be early Tuesday morning and stay with us through a lot of the day. January 1 is looking quite wet!
Wednesday through at least the beginning of next week is forecast to be mostly dry with highs in the 40s.
