Skies will stay overcast today, and rain will be widespread for the morning commute. Fortunately, nothing too heavy is expected. Rain will stay light to moderate with only a stray thunderstorm.
Rain will become more scattered and light this afternoon and evening, allowing highs to reach near 60.
The first half of Thursday is forecast to be mostly rain-free, but a line of rain and storms will come through our area Thursday afternoon/evening. Some locations, especially near the I-55 corridor, may receive up to 2 inches of rain. Amounts will decrease toward Alabama.
We will dry out for most of Friday with a mix of sun and clouds, but more rain chances are on their way for the weekend.
