LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Dozens of children sported the colors of the American flag for Louisville’s Red, White and Blue parade.

Kids also decorated their strollers, bicycles, tricycles, and wagons in the festive colors as they paraded downtown.
Tonight at 9pm, there will be a fireworks show at Lake Tiako’khata. Mayor Will Hill says with everything his community has been through, it’s nice to see people enjoy themselves.

“The dust has settled to a degree, I guess with the aftermath of the storm. But to be able to come together and celebrate and this weekend is the 1st since April 28th that we’re closing everything down. Just to celebrate our freedom and we’re one of the most patriotic communities. I’d put us up to any community in the State of Mississippi or the country for that matter,” said Mayor Hill.
