Remaining Trotter Renovation Contracts Approved by Councilmen

COLUMBUS, Miss (WCBI) –  The remaining contracts have been approved for renovation of the Trotter Convention Center.

Columbus councilmen approved the contracts with out reviewing them Tuesday at their meeting.

The improvement project is expected to cost around $2,291,229. The city is receiving financial support for the project from the Mississippi Development Bank and in-lieu fees from Columbus Light and Water.

The city will pay contractor J5 Broaddus $99,000 for  services rendered on the project and pay project architect Major Andrews IV $80,000 for his work on the building.

Renovations are projected to be finished in November.
