Retired IAHS Teacher Named Alumna of the Year

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) – She spent 30 years educating others, now the school a longtime teacher grew up at, is honoring her.

San McLeod is chosen as Itawamba Agricultural High School’s alumna of the year.

McLeod graduated from IAHS in 1966, and taught high school English at the Fulton school.

She says her teachers inspired her to become an educator as well.

Many in the area know her as the teacher who affectionately called her students her chickens.

McLeod will be honored at the school’s homecoming football game this Friday.
