CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-One of Clay County’s largest employers pays tribute to some of the economy’s unsung heroes. Royal Trucking recognized its more than 150 drivers and their families with barbecue and all the trimmings Friday (9-21) as part of the company’s celebration of National Trucking Week. More than three million truckers carry 80 percent of the nation’s freight. For Royal Trucking, Friday’s (9-21) event was a chance to say thank you for the men and women who spend their life on the road. Billy Milican, the Royal Trucking President said,
“Appreciate to us means that we understand what their life is like and what they go through and that’s mainly because most of us have come from a driving background.”
Royal Trucking has been in business in West Point for 44 years.
