Runoff Elections in Calhoun and Attala Counties Set for Tuesday

CALHOUN/ATTALA COUNTY (WCBI) – Residents in Calhoun and Attala Counties will be heading to the polls Tuesday (11/27).

In Calhoun County, voters will chose between Romona Tillman and Susanne Wade to be their next chancery clerk.

First-time candidates Tillman and Wade advanced to tomorrow’s run-off after finishing first and second in November’s special election.

Tillman has worked in the chancery clerk’s office since 1992 and currently serves as deputy chancery clerk.

Wade owns a photography studio.

 

In Attala County, voters will be electing their new sheriff.

Martin Roby

Interim Sheriff Tim Nail and Martin Roby are vying for the position left vacant after Sheriff William Lee died in May.

Nail has served as interim sheriff since Lee’s death.

Roby was an investigator with the sheriff’s department.

Polls are open from 7 til 7 on Tuesday.
