Look for mostly clear skies overnight with lows in the lower 50s.
The quiet and warm pattern continues into our St. Patrick’s Day Sunday. Highs will once again to be at least in the mid 70s and skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds. There is an outside chance at a stray shower or storm right along the Tennessee border but that threat is rather low.
Clouds will increase late Sunday evening ahead of our next storm system. Showers and storms will develop west of the MS river and begin to move into the delta early Monday morning. Expect these showers and storms to move into our viewing area Monday afternoon. Some storms could be on the strong to severe side with hail and damaging wind. We’ll continue to watch things closely.
Once this system moves out Monday evening, we’ll begin to see clearing skies and dropping temperatures. We aren’t forecasting anything “cold,” but you can expect to feel a cooler difference Monday night.
Tuesday will be dry and sunny with cooler highs in the 60s.
