SeaPort Airlines to Start Service Oct. 27

PORTLAND, Ore. (Press Release) — SeaPort Airlines today announced that it will begin air service on Oct. 27 from Tupelo to Memphis and Nashville.

The carrier was recently awarded the Essential Air Service contract to provide service at Tupelo by the United States Department of Transportation, replacing Silver Airways.

“We’re pleased to be Tupelo’s new hometown airline,” said Rob McKinney, President of SeaPort Airlines “SeaPort looks forward to serving Tupelo travelers and building a strong partnership with the local community.”

The new service will include two roundtrips per day each weekday between Tupelo and Memphis, and two roundtrip per day between Tupelo and Nashville. A reduced schedule will be offered on weekends.

“We are delighted that SeaPort is starting service for Tupelo and adding a popular destination like Nashville,” said Tupelo Airport Authority Chairman Fred Cook. “Having more frequent connections to Memphis and Nashville will help our air service market grow.”

“Encouraging the community to use Tupelo for air service is a key priority of the Tupelo Regional Airport. We welcome SeaPort and look forward to growing additional opportunities for our patrons,” stated Airport Authority Chairman Executive Director Joshua Abramson.

To introduce itself to the community, SeaPort Airlines is offering a “Get Onboard” introductory fare of $39 each way. The fare is available for purchase from Tupelo to Memphis and Nashville through November 15, 2014 for travel October 27 – November
