ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Rescue workers battled scorching temperatures today as the search for a missing Aberdeen woman continued.

False rumors swirled much of the day that investigators had found 26-year-old Teresa Ewing buried in a grave at Oddfellows Cemetery. The rumors said the body was in a grave where a burial had been completed two weeks ago. Investigators stressed those rumors weren’t true.

The mother of three was last seen August 25th. Her truck was found on Franklin Street Monday with the keys on the ground nearby.

Much of the search has centered in the woods and lakes along the cemetery and Highway 45. Cadaver dogs and other devices have been used to aid local firefighters as well as teams from Union County, Homeland Security and other agencies.

Ewing’s ex-boyfriend, 30-year-old Brandon Lyons, has been charged with trying to steal her truck but denies any connection to her disappearance.
