Second Suspect In Officer Death Dies

EUPORA, Ms (WCBI)- Two of the three men involved in the death of Eupora Police officer Keith Crenshaw are now dead. Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain says 33 year old Frank Levon Maye of Orlando, Florida died this morning at a Tupelo hospital from injuries received after the suspects car crashed into a utility pole minutes after running over Crenshaw.

Strain also says the suspect who died at the scene Wednesday has been identified as 22 year old Nathaniel Robinson also of Orlando The third person in the car, 26 year old Brandon Johnson is being held in Grenada County on armed robbery charges with other charges pending in the case.

Authorities are still working to determine the why the three Orlando men were in the area Wednesday. Officer Crenshaw was killed when he was run over after deploying stop strips to stop the suspects car which was fleeing from officers. The three were suspected of robbing a Grenada business and the attempted holdup of a Eupora bank.
