The main line of storms should still be west of I-55 in MS at 5 PM. It’s looking like many of you will be seeing rain and storms by 10 PM, unless you are in far East MS or Alabama. The severe risk is on pace to end by 3 AM, but it will be over much sooner the farther west that you live. Though some rain may linger behind the main line, a majority of Friday morning commutes will be dry.
Threats tonight include winds in excess of 65 mph, a few tornadoes, hail, and heavy rain. It’s important to have fresh batteries in your weather radio, and know that we will be fully staffed in the First Alert Weather Center. You can also find updates on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds on Friday with highs in the low-mid 60s.
Both Saturday and Sunday is still forecast to be absolutely gorgeous with mostly sunny with highs around 70.
