COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Two men wanted for shooting up a house occupied by six people are behind bars this afternoon.

Jamarquis Easley, 25, and 22-year-old Leshun Harris turned themselves in to Columbus police Wednesday afternoon to face six counts of aggravated assault.

They’d been on the run since about 10 a.m. Sunday when police say they pulled up in front of a Florence Street home and opened fire on three adults standing on the porch. Three children were inside the residence.

Fortunately no one was injured.

Both men have long arrest records. Easley’s is especially long, dating back to 2006.

The charges include armed robbery and aggravated assault but he’s managed to escape conviction. He currently has a Sept. 4 trial date in Lowndes County Circuit Court for third offense domestic violence and malicious mischief.

He’s also admitted in a previous WCBI interview he had ties to a local gang.

Harris’s record dates back two years and includes mostly drug and traffic charges.
