Showers Possible (North) Next 24 Hours

A few showers and perhaps even a storm are  possible along and north of US 78 tonight and Friday.  The chance of rain remains low at about 20%.   Lows tonight will be generally in the upper 50s and highs on Friday will range from the mid to upper 70s near the Tennessee border to the low and mid 80s south of the Golden Triangle.

It will feel like summer again on Saturday with mostly sunny, warm, and humid conditions setting up across the entire area.  Plan on afternoon temperatures in the mid 80s.  Conditions for the big football games in Oxford and Starkville continue to look great.  Hopefully your team comes out a winner!

A cold front will stir up a few showers and storms during the day Sunday.  While a strong storm cannot be ruled out, it does appear that the energy required for severe weather will remain well to our north.  Temperatures should still top out around 80.

The first part of next week will be quiet and mild but another cold front may spark more showers and storms by Wednesday afternoon/night.  That system could be a bigger player for us but we’ll just have to wait and see.
