Showers Tonight, Clearing Monday

A fairly weak disturbance will be crossing our area during the night but it’s still expected to produce a batch of showers as it moves on through.   You may need an umbrella as you start your Monday but we will all need a jacket.  Temperatures will be in the mid 40s around 7 am.  The good news is that skies will gradually clear during the day and afternoon temperatures should climb back into the  mid 60s if everything goes according to plan.

Monday night will be clear and chilly across the entire region.  Low 40s and upper 30s will be common and we cannot discount the possibility of some frost, especially northeast of the Golden Triangle near the Tennessee border and the Tennessee River.  We’ll continue to monitor the situation. Bright sunshine will return Tuesday and temperatures will warm back into the low 70s.

The warming trend will continue during the 2nd half of the work week and low 80s could return as early as Friday.
