Smithville Man Nabbed in Online Sting

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. – (PRESS RELEASE) April 8th, 2013 Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Cyber Crime Unit have arrested Cody Lenwood Gray 19 years old of Smithville, MS.

Members of the Cyber Unit posed as a minor that Gray allegedly solicited for sex acts via text messaging. Gray made arrangements with the minor to meet in the Hatley area today, and when Gray arrived at location he was placed under arrest.

Gray is charged with Enticement of a Minor to Meet for Sexual Purposes. Gray is currently being housed at Monroe County Detention Center. Bond has not been set at this time.
