Widespread snow was seen across the area this morning, with several locations receiving over 4 inches. It will continue to move to the east through the morning and should be out of West Alabama by mid-afternoon. By the time that things are said and done, some locations may have gotten half a foot!
Roads will be slick throughout the morning, and we have had numerous wreck reports all across the region, including Hwy 82 and US 78. If you do not have to be on the roads this morning, we do not suggest it. Roads will be better by this afternoon. However, bridges may still be hazardous.
Temperatures will be above freezing this afternoon which will allow melting to occur. However, we will drop to the 20s tonight as skies clear.
Abundant sun is in the forecast for Friday!
