SOCO Slated to be Sold

COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI)After 80-years of business, a Columbus gas chain will soon be under new ownership.

Sanders Oil Company is reportedly selling to Midstate Petroleum, based out of Vernon, Alabama.

The SOCO chain includes 14 different gas stations.

Midstate is known for its fuel distribution, and will likely lease the stores out to individuals and franchises.

The 14 stations employ 120 people.

The deal is slated to be signed on Monday.  Sanders Oil Company was founded in 1931.
