Mostly cloudy to overcast skies will again be the rule on Monday. Scattered showers will work their way through the area, but it will not be the persistent, all day rain we saw on Sunday. Most all of us will see drizzle, but some locations could get under a heavy downpour. It’s definitely not out of the question for up to half of an inch to fall in some areas today.
The best chance for severe weather will come in Alabama today, but we cannot rule out a few strong storms, especially in counties in far East Mississippi and West Alabama.
Scattered showers will again be possible overnight as well as on Tuesday. However, for the second half of Tuesday, some sun will mix in with clouds, and rain chances will come to an end.
Wednesday through Friday looks to be rain free with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s.
