COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-With the coming tornado season it’s not a bad idea to get trained…which is exactly what some residents did. Yesterday, the Columbus Lowndes County Emergency Management Agency hosted a Storm Spotters workshop. Training included basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, and how report that information to authorities. The workshop was free and open to the public.
