Starkville Man Charged With False Crime Report

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Press Release) — A Starkville man is out on bond after he was arrested last week for allegedly filing a false report.

About 2:15 p.m. Oct. 31, Starkville Police Department officers responded to Walmart in reference to a possible auto burglary.

27-year-old Paul Holland Jordan reportedly told police his truck had been broken into and that some possessions had been stolen. Police later determined no crime had actually been committed.

Jordan was arrested and charged with false reporting of a crime.

Jordan is out of jail after posting a $500 bond. His initial court appearance is scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 1.
