State Grant Allows Corinth to Make Sidewalk Improvements

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) – The city of Corinth has been awarded a state transportation grant that will be used for the pedestrian improvement project.

The $554,208 grant will go along with the 20 percent match that the city is prepared to make.

The improvements will be made along Meigg Street and extending east from Cass Street to Crossroads Regional Park.

The improvements being made to the area include handicapped accessible sidewalks, landscape beautification, pedestrian lighting and new signage.

The city of Corinth will coordinate with the state Department of Transportation to make sure all regulation are met with the project design.
