LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Lowndes County steel processor’s expansion is a step closer to being completed.

Lowndes County supervisors opened bids today on $1 million worth of projects for Mississippi Steel Processing. Companies from Walls, Okolona and Hattiesburg were the low bidders on a rail spur, access road and loading pad at the plant next to Severstal Steel.
