ABERDEEN, Miss, (WCBI) – It was a good turn out Saturday night at Aberdeen High for their very first “Steppin’ Out 2013” competition.

The Tenn Tom Moving Youth sponsored the event. Step up teams from Mississippi State, Mississippi Valley State, Ole Miss and more performed. Steppers ages ranged from elementary school kids all the way to adults that joined in on the fun.

“This is great, you can see from the crowd today that people are coming out. They’re showing their support for Aberdeen, for the kids and we’re hoping that this will be the jump start to making this a event that will grow next year and will do much great things for the group next time,” said Coordinator Shawn Hannah.

Tickets were 12 dollars at the door. Coordinators hope the to raise five to ten thousand dollars towards the Tim Tom Moving Group of Aberdeen for educational services and a complete CNA Program.
