As you head out the door this morning, temperatures will be in the middle 60s. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. Rain will hold off until this afternoon and that’s when we’ll have the best chance of scattered showers. Hang on to your hats as winds will be gusting up to 25 mph out of the southeast.
We’re still keeping a close eye on the threat for severe weather potential beginning tonight into early Thursday morning. Showers & thunderstorms may linger through late morning and early afternoon Thursday. A line of thunderstorms will move across the area. Some of these storms have the potential of being severe with the threat of tornadoes, strong winds (gusts up to 70+mph) and hail. The threat for tornadoes remains on the low end but cannot be completely ruled out. We’ll also see some areas with 2″ – 3″ of rain.
Behind this system comes nice and cooler weather! Highs will be in the upper 60s with lows in the low to mid 40s.
Until then, keep your weather radios nearby.
