Students May Be Expelled Over Gun at School

WATER VALLEY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two Yalobusha County students could be expelled from school after trading a gun for snacks at school.

According to the North Mississippi Herald, officials at Davidson Elementary School in Water Valley say a sixth-grader brought a 22-caliber handgun to school but it didn’t have a trigger or work.

He traded the small gun to another student for snacks. That student took the gun home but his father turned the gun and the student back over to the school.

No one was harmed or threatened and the gun has been confiscated.

The Water Valley school board will decide whether to expel the two students.
