Look for increasing clouds this evening along with warmer temperatures in the lower 40s.
Skies will be overcast by the morning hours Monday. Showers and storms will creep north early, giving our southern counties a few showers by mid-morning. A few storms may be possible during the first half of the day, but our greatest timeframe for storms will be into the evening.
Scattered showers and storms will cover the entire viewing area by the late afternoon hours. At this time, a few strong to severe storms do look possible the further south that you live. The greatest risk of severe weather will be along I-20 and south where strong gusts up to 70 MPH will be possible and a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. We’ll continue to update you as new data becomes available.
This system will make a slow exit northeast Tuesday morning. As a result, a few showers may linger into the afternoon hours Tuesday.
