Sunday will feature more clouds than sun with warm highs in the low-mid 60s. Winds will be steady out of the south between 5 and 10 mph.
Mild and humid air off the Gulf has begun to surge north into our area. Lows Sunday night will be very warm due to this surge, and only drop to the low 50s. Skies overnight will be mostly cloudy.
Upper 60s to low 70s are more or less a given for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. A few spotty showers cannot be ruled out during this time but the best chance of rain (and perhaps some strong storms) will come late Tuesday or Wednesday.
As a matter of fact, some storms Tuesday night – Wednesday could be on the strong to severe side. While the specifics on this event remain uncertain, our data suggests the high possibility of strong winds 60-80 mph and tornadoes. We’ll know more about the timing and severity of this event in the days to come.
