Severe Storm Threat Ending

A few power lines were downed near Kosciusko and some small hail was reported near Weir as a gusty line of storms moved through earlier today.  The severe threat for the rest of the day now looks like it will be confirmed to areas along and south of the I-20 corridor.  Tornadoes will continue to be a threat in eastern LA and southern and central MS today… but not so much around here.   We’ll be monitoring the situation during the day in case something changes.

Tornado Risk This Afternoon

Heavy rain will continue to affect our area during the course of the afternoon.  Several inches will be possible and a FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been posted for areas along and south of US 82.  Be sure to watch out for ponding on the roadways if you will be out and about.
