Sunday: Clouds are thickening across the viewing area ahead of a cold front. Plan for showers and stray storms this afternoon and evening. We do not expect widespread downpours because this front is relatively weak, and it plans to stall out to our west. High temperatures will only reach the upper 70s today because of heavy cloud cover.
Monday: Mostly cloudy skies will prevail to kick off the work week. Stray showers will be possible as well. Plan for high temperatures in the low 80s and conditions to start feeling warmer and more humid as the week progresses.
Tuesday – Wednesday: Temperatures and humidity will increase to above average levels for this time of year. Expect partly cloudy skies, but don’t leave the umbrella at home. With the influx of moisture to the region, there is a very slim chance for brief showers during the day. Afternoon high temperatures will reach the mid 80s.
Looking Ahead: The chance for showers will increase as we close out the week and another, stronger frontal system approaches the area. We will be watching this closely for possible impacts to Friday Night Football and Saturday’s college games. As of right now, the bulk of the rain seeks to move through on Saturday.
