Skies are overcast and rain will continue to fall in North MS and West AL into the evening hours. Our threat for severe weather looks low at this time. Though there will be some thunderstorms overnight, nothing that strong is expected. The greatest risk of severe weather overnight will be to our south. Pockets of heavy rain will be the main concern. Some locations, though, will only see light to moderate rain. Temperatures tonight will hold steady in the lower 50s & upper 40s.
Friday is looking much dryer than earlier expected. We can however expect mostly cloudy skies with warm temperatures in the lower 60s. If a shower does develop in our viewing area tomorrow, it’ll be across the southern half.
High pressure will set into the viewing area Saturday bringing dryer weather to the region. Look for a mix of sun and clouds both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower 60s.
Rain chances will creep back into our forecast Monday along another cold front. At this time the chance is slight.
