One more dry day before a cold front & tropical moisture moves in Friday night. Some of us could indeed see more than 2″ of rain by the end of Saturday. High school football games will be dicey regarding rain chances. Take the rain gear with you just in case.
Thursday Night: We have a great night on tap this evening. Skies will be partly cloudy and lows should be in the mid 60s.
Friday: We’ll have a dry start to the day, but clouds and storm chances will increase during the late afternoon hours. The latest data suggests that Friday night football will be a wet one for most. Make sure to bring your ponchos and umbrellas! Highs will be in the upper 80s and overnight temperatures will fall into the upper 60s.
Saturday: Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely. Areas of heavy rain are possible and some locations may see over 2″ of rain. Skies will be mostly cloudy and high temperatures may struggle to get out of the upper 70s. Drier conditions should begin to take over by the time the games kickoff in Starkville and Tuscaloosa.
Sunday (First Day of Fall Y’all!): Fall begins at 3:44 PM. And no doubt it will feel every bit of Fall! Afternoon highs will be in the low 80s and feeling great courtesy of the front on Saturday.
