Thursday should be more or less a repeat of Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s and skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. What a great fall day its going to be!
A weak cold front will sag into north Mississippi on Friday. It will likely produce a few showers and/or t-showers by the afternoon and evening hours, especially along and north of the US 78 corridor. We don’t envision a washout for high school football but some wet weather gear may be necessary. High temperatures should once again be in the mid to upper 80s.
The aforementioned front will slowly move south across the rest of the area Friday night and Saturday. We’re keeping the chance of rain at about 20% because it looks like the greatest moisture and energy could stay to our south. This may change but for now that’s what we’re expecting. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.
Drier and brighter skies are likely for the end of the weekend and early next week.
