We’ve had more cloud cover across the area today along with spotty showers. This trend will continue this evening and during the night. The best chance for actual showers and storms should be late tonight across our western counties. Lows will be in the mid 60s.
Temperatures may only peak in the upper 70s on Friday due to the expected clouds and scattered storms in the area. I can’t completely rule out a few strong to possibly severe storms during the heating of the day but conditions remain marginal. We’ll see how it goes.
A few showers and storms may linger into our Saturday but the overall trend will be for the activity to shift more into Alabama with time. I think afternoon highs will recover back into the mid 80s.
Warmer upper 80s are in the forecast for Sunday and early next week. A frontal boundary will give our area another shot at storms come Wednesday and Thursday.
