Unseasonably warm and humid air will remain in place for the rest of the work week. A few spotty showers & t-showers are possible both today and Friday but the coverage should not be more than 20% each day. The weather looks to pretty good overall for Friday night football this week. Big changes on the way!
We are still tracking a strong cold front and a potential tropical system in the Gulf for as the weekend gets closer. These two features may combine sometime Saturday. If they merge, areas of heavy rain will be possible in our area Saturday afternoon, Saturday night and/or Sunday. It would be best to plan on rain this weekend.
Thursday: Warm and humid conditions are going to continue. High temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 80s on the heels of a southeasterly breeze between 5 and 10 mph. A few pop up showers or t-showers are possible but the chance of rain is only around 20%.
Friday: More mid to upper 80s are likely along with a mix of sun and clouds. Pop up showers or t-showers are possible again but the chance of rain should remain around 20%.
Weekend: The latest data suggest that our area will start off dry on Saturday with wet weather developing by the late afternoon and evening hours. Rain may continue into Sunday afternoon. The exact timing of the rain is still a little tricky. Highs in the 80s seem reasonable for Saturday but 70s are expected on Sunday in the wake of the cold front that will be moving through.
Next Week: Mostly sunny and dry conditions return and that means a period of great fall weather for a change. Highs should be in the 70s while overnight lows may fall into the low 50s and upper 40s.
