This Morning: Mostly clear skies expected with light wind. Morning temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s and some patchy areas of frost are possible.
Today: Mostly sunny skies expected but it will be warmer than yesterday. Low to mid 60s expected north of US 78 while upper 60s to low 70s around Golden Triangle area. A nice northerly breeze will make a visit this afternoon. Clear skies along with lows in the 50s expected for kick off for the MSU-Kentucky game in Starkville. Be sure to wear your jacket or hoodie if you’re heading to the game.
Tonight: Clear skies tonight with lows in the upper 30s. Some patchy frost can’t be ruled out in low lying & sheltered spots but widespread frost is not expected at this time.
Friday: Sunglasses and a jacket! Those are two necessities as you head out the door on Friday. High temperatures will only top off in the 50s for most spots and combine that with a northerly breeze and it will make it feel a bit cooler. If you’re heading out into town in the evening, be sure to layer up as it will be a chilly one! Especially if you’re heading out to a high school football game.
Friday Night: Clear skies, light wind, and dry air will conspire to give our area its best frost potential of the season thus far. Some spots may also pick up their first freeze. Plan on low 30s with a few upper 20s not out of the question.
Saturday: Mostly sunny skies should continue and highs will return to the low 60s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy skies are expected along with highs in the upper 60s.
Next Week: Southerly winds will allow conditions to moderate. Highs will be in the 70s while overnight lows should return to the 50s. A round of t-storms (some strong?) is possible by Halloween night but it’s still way to early to pinpoint the exact details or timing.
