Scattered rain will be seen across our area (especially along and south of the Hwy 82 corridor and along the MS/AL state line) through the morning. Though many of us will see some freezing rain on bridges, overpasses, trees, power lines, and car wind shields, the most likely location for it will be the farther north that you live (Chickasaw, Calhoun, Itawamba, Lee, Pontotoc, and north).
Ice accumulation may be seen in counties that I-55 runs through and farther west. Webster and Montgomery also have the potential for ice accumulation.
Rain will become more widespread by late morning and into the afternoon. Like yesterday, temperatures will not budge out of the 30s.
We will see more scattered cold rain overnight and Wednesday morning.
Friday through the weekend will feature lots of sun!
