A cold front is on the way! It will sweep on through the region tonight & tomorrow. Much cooler air and increased rain chances will be the themes for the middle of the work week.
This Morning: Clouds will increase throughout the morning as the cold front inches closer. Morning lows will be int he low to mid 60s.
Today: Clouds will increase and thicken throughout the day. Showers and possibly a few storms may affect our northwestern areas late in the afternoon but most locations in our area should remain dry during the daylight hours. Highs are expected top out in the upper 70s.
Tonight: This is when I expect the rain to start moving through – after dark. A line of showers with a few thunderstorms are possible. We could see some locations receive 0.5″ – 1.0″ of rain by the time the front moves through.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy skies along with scattered showers. Upper 60s to around 70 may be the best we can do as far as high temperatures are concerned courtesy of the cloud cover and cooler air moving in.
Thursday: Scattered showers will be possible, especially during the morning hours. High temperatures will be in the 60s.
Friday: Plan on a pleasant day with highs in the low 70s. Temperatures will cool down during the evening so you will need a jacket for high school football this week.
Weekend: The forecast for Saturday and Sunday is still rather fuzzy. A rain maker may may move through the region on Saturday but our computer models are having a tough time coming to consensus on the exact track. The track of this system will be the difference between rain and no rain. We’ll watch it closely.
