Tupelo Council Candidates Get in Gear for Ward 3 Runoff

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — The countdown continues for the Tupelo Ward 3 runoff.

City council candidates Travis Beard and James Hull have been busy shaking hands and pounding the pavement in the final hours before Thursday’s runoff to represent 5,300 city residents.

The two men will seek to fill nearly three years left Jim Newell’s second term.

The sitting councilman resigned after moving to Saltillo.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday at the ward’s RWO polling places, the Lee County Courthouse and Lawnsdale Presbyterian Church.
