Video: Tupelo Police Identify Shooting Suspect

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Tupelo police have identified a suspect in a shooting Tuesday evening.

23-year-old Dominique Carruthers was shot in the 3200 block of Beasley Drive.

Police believe 27-year-old Kaz Devon Jenkins is the shooter.

The two men were seen arguing, when the suspect shot Carruthers in the hip and fled the scene.

Jenkins is 6-foot-3-inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds. He may be driving an older model white Ford Crown Victoria with large wheels.

Jenkins is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Jenkins’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Tupelo Police Department or Northeast Mississippi Crime Stoppers.

Carruthers is currently recovering from his injury at North Mississippi Medical Center.
