Tupelo Police Make Arrest in Connection with TMS Burglaries
TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — The Tupelo Police Department has made an arrest for a series of burglaries at a Tupelo school.
Officers with the Tupelo Police Charlie shift responded to an alarm at the Tupelo Middle School. The officers noticed a male walking away from the area and attempted to contact him. The suspect, later identified as Katavius Stewart, fled from officers but was captured after a brief chase.
Stewart has been implicated in a series of burglaries that have occurred at the middle school for the last several weeks.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
